First bike so no idea if its normal but I keep my bike in the garage and I've noticed a whiff of petrol. When I smell around the fuel cap it does smell quite strong, but not sure if this is just the nornal motorbike smell?

I've got a YBR and the petrol cap doesn't seem to sit flush on the tank, its like theres a thin gap all way round. Any other YBR owners confirm thats normal or not? Or maybe I'm missing a seal?

May not help, but i always used to find if there wasn't much fuel in the tank of the bandit or the zzr that they reaked of petrol, if the tanks were full they were fine, maybe something todo with petrol vapour or something todo with the carbs. Dunno.

This should be in workshop though surely *-) ?

Are you sure its petrol and not just exhaust fumes. Its normal for the place to stink of exhaust even if you've never run the bike in the garage

The match test only works once, unless you have an assistant. Maybe email Mr Beaker off the Muppets, see if he's free. I hope no-one is going to ask me to explain who Beaker is.
