I couldnt even have just 3pts on my licence on for 1 day.

got pulled for 50 in a 30 tonight.

3pts, 60 quid fine

It was a combination of poor obs and riding at 50 in a 30. I'm surprised you got off that lightly in all honesty. As far as I'm concerned, 30 is the one you don't take the piss with. Maybe do 35, *maybe* 40 occasionally if it is clear, but 50 is getting into the realms of daily mail powerful bike evil death cancer.

In 1985 I had 10 points and got pulled for doing 36 in a 30, issued with a fixed penalty. I was shitting myself, 6 month ban in the offing, I'd just bought a nearly new 750 as well.

Someone up there must have been looking after me, the old bill ballsed up the paperwork, my fine was sent back in the form of a Bank of England cheque. I thought it was a fancy receipt for about an hour before it dawned on me, then a separate letter arrived explaining the fixed penalty was waived.

My licence is safe.
The copper ticketed me, instead of sending me to court, cos i wasnt a cunt while sat in the jam sandwich.

Proper sneaky how they hide and it is always on the quiet roads late at night where IMO it is safe to do 50....

bikes should have a higher speed limit anyways, considering they stop sooner.
