Not exactly a techy question, the paintwork on my front fairing is a little bit dull. Could I use T-Cut or something similar to polish it up? I've only used T-Cut on painted metal before, not painted plastic so I'm not sure if it'll react differently........If it will, what product could I use? Bike is a '98 Thundercat (in need of a clean). Smile

Cheers.

Can anyone recommend a 'tried & tested' wheel cleaner? My bike has a lot of brake dust that seems to be baked onto the rims which I'd like to clean off, thanks in advance. Thumbs Up

In my experience there's no such thing as a magic cleaner. No matter if the manufacturer claims "Spray on, leave 5 mins, then rinse off" and it will be sparkly clean, they never work.

I like to use WD40 and a rag/sponge/brush. It seems to do a good a job as any special cleaner I've used in the past.

Cheers gents, I'll try some WD and a scrubbing brush as I've got plenty of WD sitting about. If that doesn't work I'll get some bog standard wheel cleaner. Cheers. Thumbs Up

General degreaser works well. Once clean try some polish and wax, then it will be so much easier to keep clean.

Thumbs Up For your paint work, Tcut colour fast, it's got a wax formula and will bring paintwork up to show room condition, for your wheels Tcut original, it will also bring them up gleaming, ( bit of elbow work, but better than a scrub brush ) Both worked well for me, good luck Thumbs Up
