Hello, I have a few questions about MOT in UK. I have kawasaki z750, and moving from Lithuania to UK. My turn signals are integrated into brake lights, like this ( https://www.ioffer.com/i/turn-signal-brake-tail-light-kawasaki-zx10r-04-05-smoke-476533534 ) is it legal allowed in uk? or i need to buy normal turn signal lights?
Also turns flashes very fast, is this okey? ar they must flashing slow?
And how about front light beam direction? Is it allright if it goes straigt? or must go to the left?
Sorry for my bad english, i hope you understand me=]
Thank you

The flash rate has to be between 1 and 2 flashes a second 60-120 per minute. The headlight is slightly left and down I believe. As for the indicators I THINK they have to be separate, but don't quote me on that one.

If I remember correctly Lithuania is now part of the EEC. If the bike is legal and insured in Lithuania and Lithuania is your main point of residence it will be considered legal here.

Where you moving to to, Barking by any chance which has a high population from Lithuania?

Hi

Under UK rules that wouldn't be allowed on 2 different reasons. Firstly the indicators are too close together (not an MOT issue, but would be for registering the bike depending on the age of the bike). Also the indicators flashing must not affect any other lights.

If it is an older bike you can register it in the UK quite easily with just an MOT. However anything newer (think 10 years old is the cut off point) has to go through a more extensive test OR you need a European certificate of conformity. The test would be rather difficult to get through if you have anything non standard (I have heard of a bike failing this test because it had an aftermarket screen on it, on which the edges were regarded as too sharp).

All the best

Keith
