I was out and about in South Wales yesterday heading from Caerphilly centre down to Cardiff and managed to have some fun with someone driving a Dagenham dustbin.
Exiting Caerphilly on the A468 Nantgarw Rd onto the big roundabout its 3 lanes wide narrowing down to 2 lanes to re-enter the A468 Caerphilly Rd, I was in the left hand lane and an old Ford Escort/Orion/Sierra with a big bore exhaust was in the middle lane. I pulled away quicker than the shitbox and safely moved into the middle lane talking the 2nd exit towards Cardiff. About half way down in the right hand lane there was a car performing an overtake so I waited for him to complete the manoeuvre and then passed him as he pulled back in and thanked him. Looking on my mirror the shitbox was now within two meters of my rear so looking over my shoulder to confirm I came off the throttle and allowed my speed to coast down to a stop in line with Police recommendations trapping him behind me and beside moving traffic.
As we were now at a stop I dismounted and walked around to the drivers door to be met by a short fat Welshman in a Wales rugby shirt who proceeded to scream at me that I should have been going faster and speeding as I was holding him up by driving only slightly faster than the speed limit. I asked him why he was trying to intimidate me and he stated I deserved it as I undertook him on the roundabout therefore should be knocked off, that he owned a bike and I gave bikers a bad name. Strangely he didn't want to get out of his car to discuss this amazingly technical argument he had put forward so I went on my merry way laughing at him.

So chaps keep your eyes open in the Caerphilly for a Silver Ford Orion/Escort/Sierra shitbox Reg starting F120 *** with a big bore exhaust and fake carbon bonnet as the driver is not a very friendly chap.

Seeing as he owned a bike he should know that sitting that close to another rider when travelling at speed is extremely dangerous. Any point that he may have had was lost the second he tried to use his cage to intimidate.

What a turd.

How much of a cock would you of looked if he got out and sparked you out.

People never use their heads i swear, a year or so ago where i live some bloke cut someone else up and ended up being blocked in a country lane by the other drivers car.

Bloke got out to give him abuse and got shot with a shotgun.

Use your head next time, we don't need a dead sickpup.

Thank you for your concern it is appreciated. Thumbs Up

Luckily I am well versed in the art of self preservation and realise I am more likely to come off badly being hit by a car than I am by a person. Also people in cars unable to move as you loom over them present you with the chance to reverse the tables making them become the vulnerable feeling one. Short of them attempting to drive off they cannot do a thing to stop you doing whatever you like.

i'm always pissing of people on my bike in 30 zones , cars drivers only seem to have the ability to overtake me in a 30 zone or more commonly outside schools when kids are about ! i've been overtook 5 or 6 times now outside a school when the orange lights are flashing . i've even been under took by a taxi on a wide 2 lane rd . & i don't know how many times i've had to swerve out the way of a taxi driving towards me going in to my lane so they don't need to slow down for a bicycle .

You've just described half of Newport, I already try to avoid them when possible.

Are you on about the roundabout by the garden centre? I fucking hate going around that as people don't seem to realize there's four lanes or that the sign before the roundabout (coming up from the engine plant) told them both this and which lane to be in.

Half of Wales I thought.
An F reg Ford with youngish lad driving might well be un-insured and not registered to him so he could have been more than happy to knock the bike over and disappear - at least once you got off.

Let me guess - you're on L plates? That all magically stops the moment you take them off.

Wow! I do the limit in built up areas, when I was on Ls I had plenty of dicks force their way past. It changed the second I took them off, never had a problem since.

I put it down to the Ls as I was already an experienced road user (11 years) before I got my bike license.

The tailing thing is one of my pet hates, especially at high speed.
Just the other week I was in my safe cell on the motorway in the middle lane, minding my own business, when i see that ahead of me the exit is nearing and I need to pull into the inside lane. I do this and keep a good three car distance between me and the car ahead and there’s room for the car behind.
A BMW driver (No, really!?) pulls in behind me pretty sharpish and realises that he’s now wedged himself between me and the car behind me.
For the next couple hundred yards he’s literally shouting and waving his arms all over the place because I didn’t start tailgating the car ahead. Rolling Eyes

When we exit, he’s shaking his head at me as we’re at the lights. I pull off (slowly now) and into the left lane ,to turn into the industrial estate where I work, he raised two fist in the air in celebration as he sped up to pass. Only to be caught in the right hand lane by traffic lights. Clapping
