I actually got chased by a rabid taxi driver this morning, I don't think he liked the fact that I pulled infront of him at the lights, so he decided that trying to ram me off the road was the right thing to do, I hope he wasn't too fond of the wing mirror that's no longer attatched to his car...

Scroll down for MS Paint and more info.

So I'll add the obligatory, cool story bro, pictures or it didn't happen and paint diagram required.

Very Happy Thumbs Up

Don't mess with taxi drivers - they're a highly strung bunch. A mate of mine had to give evidence in court after one of them smashed his rear window whilst moving. All because my mate was in the wrong lane (purely by accident), he even pulled in a car in front of the taxi. Taxi driver said he was enraged because lots of people use the wrong lane to skip the queue.

Life's to short to get that wound up over other people.

Regardless of blame, black cab drivers in London *always* have a witness in their favour too - (another black cab driver "yeah saw it all mate, he went straight into him") - hence why I always ride with cameras, I'm sure that a manic U-turning cabbie who doesn't indicate or look will get me sooner or later.

Taxi drivers think they rule the road and are extremely arrogant / ignorant and frankly a lot of them deserve a right good kick in!

You weren't in front of me the other morning, were you? Riding into town (from East London) there was a guy with a camera stuck on his helmet, it kinda made him look like a Teletubby.

No pics I'm afraid though, I hope you can settle for my beautifully drawn MS Painty pic. With a bit more of an explanation as to what happened.

A- I filter to the front of the lights, chilling listening to music, hear a bib from behind but think nothing of it. Lights go to green, I continue on my merry way.

B- All of a sudden, a crazy man in his old silver Merc with taxi magnets on the side pulls up next to me in the outside lane screaming abuse, I can't really make out what he's saying as I've got music in me ears but, this guy is getting redder and redder and the woman in his passenger seat looks terrified, he then pulled into my lane and started to squeeze me towards the kerb(sp?).

C- I see this, give a burst of power to get infront of him, then slow right down weaving over the lane, just to piss him off a little more, this goes on for about 30 seconds before he again goes into the left hand lane and pulls up alongside me shouting again and looking like a beetroot. I give him the finger and he doesnt like this no he doesn't BCF!

D- So he starts trying to squeeze me up to the kerb again, but I see that there is an extra lane up ahead to help try and ease the traffic at the lights, so I take my oppertunity and give his wing mirror a good swipe and feel it pop off, though for anyone thinking of trying this I'd suggest using a foot not your hand as 1- it hurts and 2- I wobbled to fuck, luckily steadied myself, dropped a gear and blasted off laughing

E- Nipped infront of a truck, started filtering through traffic happy as Larry, apart from the adrenaline shakes everytime I had to put my foot down.

My Line is the green one, his is the red incase it was unclear.

If you are one of these cunts that filter to the front then bimble off at the speed limit minus 5mph then fair game.

If not then I hope you got the bastard as I hate taxi drivers. Thumbs Up

Errr, I think what you meant to say is that you accidentally knocked his wing mirror off when he squeezed you against the curb, yeah? Wink

If he got your numberplate than I would be expecting a call from your insurance for that wing mirror. It was an accident Wink Caused by him and his angry pie bum of course.

Mate, I'm 21 and on a Gixxer, I don't understand these words... "speed limit"? Confused

Pretty cool, but just filtering away is the best revenge. Heck, just ride through some reds, it's less "criminal" than kicking off in any way.

I'm afraid one does not simply "get one" - you have to earn it through many a pie eating cab journey's racking up the points on the scoring system which uses subjects such as illegal immigrant conversation levels, bad quality of music, amount of spare change, number of customers who threw up tonight and the bonus level, number of fellow motorists pissed off. When you have enough points you can get angry pie bum, which later upgrades to Uber Fast and Furious Mega Pissed off Curry Blast Bottom.

Clearly this is a much more serious undertaking than I imagined. Please consider me thoroughly chastened. Shocked

From a mate in the job I understand amphetamine use is common in the cab trade to hack the long profitable night shifts.
This might account for some of their manic road rageing.
Also the bastard awfullness of the job.

My cams are mounted on the bike, plus I look more like a cowboy-astronaut-millionaire when I'm riding, so deffo not me.
