Why do they make such trivial things but the things you have to get off in order to do the bigger jobs out of pastacine?

Six ofThese keeping the front mud guard on and each one needed help to get them out.

Well, if the model was sold at a loss, then the easiest way to recoup costs is to replace tiny little parts on an alarmingly regular basis. This is probably why Suzuki are still afloat - they're not selling many bikes, but I'll bet that they're selling tons of replacement bits that have suffered from a mortal attack of tinworm.

That is because you used a non JIS screwdriver on a JIS screw.

If they've got dirt in the allen head it makes unscrewing them without causing damage a lottery. I found this out on the 2 lower bolts of my fairings. Too low to see what I was doing and mullered the head.
I use a toothbrush to clean them out now.

I've spent various parts of the last year replacing the original swiss-cheese Suzuki bolts and fittings etc with better quality ones.

From memory, home maintenance on the old GPZ was even worse

I WD40 them left them a while, gave them a quick clean, WD40 again and left. Then tried to undo them, melted just like cheese.
