Right, everytime I've been to a rally, show or anything to do with bikes it seems to be the common misconception that all bikers listen to Iron Maiden and AC/DC. This obviously cannot be true, so I just wondered what the split was in here?

I should have put my cards on the table I suppose: Rock. Nothing wrong with a bit of Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Korn, Depeche Mode (old school!) with some Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against the Machine thrown in for good measure Cool

I guess the days of guitar have kinda influenced me going into biking - i always thought that most metlers were bikers in the first place with their HD's and stuff and now i've grown to realise that they ride all sorts of bikesincluding peds (me last year Wink ). so i guess it is a common stereotype - I don't think that they'res anything wrong with that. I wouldn't consider myself to be a good guitarist and the only thing that differentiates me and my other guitaring peers will be my bike.

Back to the thread: I listen to Metallica, Maiden, all the standard Nu-metal stuff of the day (RATM, KoRn, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park), but i'm also into the nu-generation skater/california punk, emo stuff- Yellow Card, Mest, NFG, The Offspring, Rufio, etc, but of course Blink 182)

So as my thing says: ROCKERS KEEP ON RIDING!

Well, as the term "Rock" originates from the description of bikes then we should all be purist and listen to Rock and Rock music alone!

However, it really does depend on the time of day and my mood. This morning I am feeling mournful and having a good earbashing of
Arrow Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac current track "I need your love so bad". As the day wears on, I'll dip into some
Arrow classical, definately the FireBird Suite as I need to learn it - sharpish! Then later the
Arrow Iron Maiden may come out as I get progressively frustrated at my inability to master the very fast harmonic passages Thumbs Up

I had a very very short period of liking Slipknot and rode to skool years back on my RX50 listening to it in my headphones, I was doing about 50mph in the wet and coffin dodger pulled out into the middle of a crossing just as I passed some ladies I knew. I slammed on the front stopper and the front went down, I bounced off the side of the car and I hit it so hard my fuking shoes came off!
My RX was bollox’d, I cam away with gravel in my legs and a few bruises (lucky)
I don’t listen to it now, makes me ride like a loon.
Ive always listened to is drum and bass on the bike, It’s not so harsh as the metal stuff, I can practise MC’ing on the way to work.

Being into music heavily I have a lot of respect for artists that have talent, weather or not I like the style.
I must admit a guy with rich parents who started of in a 80’s pop group with no character himself other than a collection of sounds in box, that has taken samples beats and tunes from everyone else and marries a *montrogg for fame (boy fat slim) I loath. How the hell does he do it?

*montrogg, my word meaning… mixture of man, troll, frog, a monstrosity. Sara Cox

Rock and metal - anything with noisy guitar really. Currently my favourite bands are probably Vast and Dream Theater, but mostly I'm listening to random Shoutcast stations, usually this one.
