While it might fit it will probably lose you a load of power. The lengths / bores of the down pipes and how they join together is VERY important for power, defining where in the rev range the engine produces its power. Hence putting a pipe design for a lower revving 1000 onto a higher revving 600 will probably lose you top end power, and a fair chance that in the mid range you won't gain anything
As to clutches, for road use I far prefer a hydraulic clutch. Less maintenance, lasts longer before anything needs replacing, doesn't get stiff from an aging cable and no chance it is going to be affected by the bars being turned. Down side is marginally slower action.
