Have any of you put braided brake hoses on?
I need new hoses on mine and was thinking of going with braided.
Is it work it? Or is it just a pile of poo?

Hi

I have fitted braided hoses to an FZ750, and a coupe of bikes I have owned have had it as standard.

They work well, but new hoses are a pig to bleed through. If you have real problems, or expect to do the job a few times, then invest in a MityVac (small hand held vacuum pump).

You will probably loose a small amount of feel to the brakes.

Do not get hoses with alloy fittings. They are fine for racing use, but on the road with salt and all they will corrode. It is not unknown for the corrosion to be invisable until the day the brakes fail totally under preasure

All theb est

They totaly transformed my brakes, before the lines bulged amd the lever came back to the bar, but know you can feel when they are really under strain. When bleeding put a finger either side of the bottom banjo and just keep pumping until the pressure gets to much. I found that this was a really good way to start the line off.

Hi

I agree with Dylan. Other idea is to put the bottom banjo into a cup of fresh brake fluid. Then when you pump the lever there is little resistance to the fluid going out

All the best
