Ok it's an E5 if that matters, clutch started slipping at higher rpms so I checked the cable free play and there was no slack, adjusted it to about 4 mm at the bar and is fine no slipping BUT now when I rev it hard the slack moves out of the cable so the lever moves away . Ie if I change gear before 7k the 4mm play is there in the cable and if I rev it to 10k there is no slack and it's a bigger reach to the lever.
Anything common on these? Thinking I'll take the side off today and take a look in there .

Hi

Weird. Only thing I can think of (and unlikely I suspect) would be the thrust bearing failing and grabbing.

All the best

It does sound a bit rattley on idle but every kwak ive had does. It's definatly high load related hope it's not a gearbox problem or bearing etc

hmmm well got it all in bits and cannot find anything wrong apart from the plates being a bit dry (its been stood a while)
the basket bush seems ok and the thrust bearing has no play, Maybe its in the basket springs when they load up but I'm unable to find any movement there.
