Just passed my DA course last week. Mr. Green

I'm currently on the CBF 125, which is a little boring now after just over a year (and especially after riding the riding school's Kawasaki ER5). I've got my eye on a Honda Hornet at the moment which I might be able to get quite a good deal on as I know the people selling it. Still waiting on a reply to my offer though.

Anyway, I thought I'd find a good bike forum in the meantime!

Oh yes, and my ultimate goal in life is to do a Long Way Round / Down type trip. Thumbs Up

Do it on the CBF then, or better yet, a YBR 125. If you mean "Tarmac tour around the Carpathians trying to shag the local tarts" then an R1200GS is ideal. Wink

Nowt but good words said about Hornets round these parts. Thumbs Up

Having owned one I'm inclined to disagree. Wonderful first big bikes but lack of fairing makes big miles above 80 a chore and the tank range is too short. Throw over panniers are fine on the standard exhaust though.

Hah, doing it on my 125 would certainly make things interesting, especially out in Mongolia/Siberia Mr. Green
