The stadium is on the edge of town really,all thats near by is a retail park and dual carriageway to the motorway.
I met a guy who goes to these sorts of meets a few weeks ago he's got a very standard looking Golf putting out about 390 bhp Shocked

I was refering to the senisble ones who certainaly can put a car through its paces not your average 17 year old on R plates with a bad boy bonnet on thier 1.2 clio. Who has a decent car at that age anyway when insurance for anything small will cost well over a grand.

Just because at 18 you can't get insured on a powerful car doesn't mean you have to make your one litre nova looks and sound powerful.

Boy racers don't have decent cars, the first step a boy racer does is making a cheap car even crapper. So those with decent performance cars aren't boy racers.

Just a note of interest:
I personally dislike the 'boyracers' who take a car and put lots of mods on it that often actually make it a 'worse' car.
For instance dodgy spoilers mounted on the rear of front wheel drive cars.

However I see lots of people (and usually take the piss out of them for being tarts Smile

) that do similar things to their bikes. Often the same people criticise the 'boy racers'.

I disagree.

You have no idea how many car meets I go to whether they are sensible Jap Owners meets or the more 'chav-attractive' max pooer meets, where the little boys on their 125's are pulling wheelies and generally being really dangerous across the length of a car park.

At the end of the day, doesn't matter how 'chav' looking a car is, that's someone's pride and joy, something they have spent alot of money on, and the last thing you want is some nobend who has just bought a bike for his 16th birthday losing control and damaging a car because he was trying to show off to the 12 yr olds he brought along.

Fair enough, if they behaved, they would be accepted. The attitude on this forum is the reason car and bike meets get shut down by local authorities.

To be honest I doubt the sound of a rs125 redlining will be heard over the usual 'soundz' that eminate from such meets.
I very much doubt the council cares much if a bike damages a car attending one of these meets.

I often see cars driving relatively dangerously on their way to such meets... I would suspect a 1 tonne + lump of metal with a thumping stereo will cause a lot more local distrust than a 100kg 125 2 stroke being buzzed around.

Infact, the only local-ish meet as such that I know about that has been shut down is Stockely park... this was when a lot of cars came down and started going sideways around the roundabout, not always managing to get all the way around.
The police don't seem to bothered by those that don't have a big cage to protect themselves when they slide into other vehicles/things.

My only point was really that the local moped/125 crew should chill out a bit more!

Some of them are quite dangerous, and they should bear in mind, that at an illegal meet there are other idiots messing about, and that 1 tonne + lump of metal really hurts when it hits you because he was doing a burnout and not concentrating on the lawnmower on one wheel in front of him.

cool....so anyway, now i have got to know you guys a little....anyone know where I can pick up a 125 or something i can use in a field or off-road?

dont want something new, and also dont want anything too expensive as i dont want to be upset if i break it!
