Guys,
I have heard a lot about these chinese bikes on the forum so can i just give my opinion (you still reading this?)
I passed my bike test back in 1992 and after passing on my DT 125 i bought various other bikes (DR600 and bandits) but still missed my DT125.
Anyway bought a Pulse Adrenaline (after a 15 year bike gap)because i only commute in traffic and dont need motorways.
Sure it is Chinese but if you look after it a bit (dont screw it like you have just stolen it) check levels, wipe it down as they don't like getting wet and get it serviced then they can be a reliable bike in all weathers.
Here is some of the stuff people have mentioned
Tyres are crap - perhaps, but i have had no problems, i think the slower the better in the wet is best (to a point, and even in the wet i can keep up with the car traffic round bends and roundabouts.
It's slow - It's a cheap 125? if you want fast then pass your test and get a bigger bike. (but drilling the 4mm baffle to 8mm will make a world of difference and make a nicve sound (any more and it will sound like a 747 on takeoff with the stock exhaust)
Rust - again i have had no problems as long as you keep then as clean as you can be bothered.
Sprockets: Again its how you ride it, if you get bored on your 125cc and keep speeding up slowing down, lurching in traffic then it will wear quicker.
Aircooled - plenty of bikes are aircooled, water is best but it makes them more expensive and more heavy. During the past few weeks of good weather i have had no problems in traffic with the heat whilst riding the bike.
I'm happy with mine and it has never let me down, sure Jap bikes are better but like has been said before, you get what you pay for.
For a little runaround in traffic i think they are great bikes and do the job for the price you pay.
OK so they appeal to the chavvy end of the market (no insult intended) but see beyond that and they can be a good laugh. I enjoy this bike more than i did my DR600 in traffic.
Cheers

My dad has a Chinese scoot which he bought new and has now covered just over 100km
Other than being designed so that the exhaust hits the number plate over bumps, the headlight turning into an aquarium and the handlebars coming loose in relation to the front wheel it has been fine so far.

I have to note that China is a big place, they have a lot of manufacturers making a lot of bikes, and if you're praising the Pulse Adrenaline (or the HN125-8) then it's a lot more helpful to say that, and just that, than to generalise. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
