 |
|
. . . not sure where to post this but I'll try here.
We're looking for a bit of help from a motorcyclist (or two would be even better) for MacRide on Sunday 9 September at Stratford-upon-Avon. (Our usual helpers are both away on holiday that weekend)
The task entails riding round our ride courses before the cyclists - total of about 130 miles - checking that the arrow signage has not been moved or tampered with overnight. The moto is equipped with a supply of A4 sized correx arrows and cable ties to fix anything awry. [The last two events have been fine, with just one arrow moved]
So - is anyone able to help please - no pay I'm afraid, but we'll gladly reimburse fuel costs etc ... and you'll get a MacRide medal!!!
There's more here at www.macride.org.uk
If you can help, or know someone that might please PM with a phone number and I'll give you a shout.
Thanks
Rob

BUMP. Nobody? I'd do it, only it's far away, and also I don't want to. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Looks like quite a good reason for a ride to be honest. If I was closer, etc etc...
I would however question thoroughly the integrity of your chosen rider(s). BCF has a history of people willing to go the extra mile for 'teh lulz' and I personally wouldn't put it past them to make the course ever so slightly more interesting...
And, obviously, pics of the event afterwards please. |

You could try asking a local bike club for help.
My branch of the Honda Owners Club has done this a few times for local cycling events. Try contacting one of the HOC local branches near to you - they don't bite!

Why do they need a bike?
Surely any form of motorized vehicle (perhaps one owned by a member of the organizing club) could perform the task equally well. |
