With my college course starting soon, and i have work at weekends, i'm soon going to run out of time.

I wanna get my theory out the way
The best looking date (that doesn't clash with work or college) is 6th September.
But that's only 2 weeks away.

I've done a few online practice papers and got 44 and 48 out of 50, a pass for both times. My hazard isnt amazing but not shocking either.

Do you think 2 weeks is long enough for me to get ready to ensure i pass?

2 weeks should be more than enough time,

i'd say study the Hazard Perception though. i went in the first time hungover and hadn't even looked at anything. Hazard pereception screwed me over, passed the theory side aswell Razz

i had 2 weeks to study after that and passed no problems at all after a bit of studying Thumbs Up

As above poster.
If you can't pass the theory give up.,and work for a spotty youth company.
Haz perception though is really just like playing a computer game.

Booked mine & had 2 weeks to wait (seemed like a fecking age as I wanted to get started with the DAS) & passed first time. Just keep doing the mock tests when you get time, I did them during break at work/in the evenings etc... Just read the question properly and ply some common sense and you'll smash it. They allow plenty of time to do the questions part, only the HPT part uses timed clips. Thumbs Up

Devil's advocate: If you're asking this question are you not confident enough to go for it? Cause the theory is a confidence test, if you have a bit of common sense you'll be fine, if you're nervous you gotta be nervous about the HP, and it is tricky! (Not really it's easy)

But yeah, as above - go for it. And until then...
Dr Kotachi prescribes 3 daily doses of man the fuck up betweem now and that theory day. Here's your prescription.

I only remembered I had my theory the night before I was due to go for it. I just watched some online videos and did the example tests on the AA website and I was fine. You'll be fine, it's mostly common sense.

Do it Thumbs Up

Just don't fail, complete waste of £30 and you have to wait to book again!

Ideally you want to be hitting 49 / 50 in practice tests.. just keep doing them till you know all the questions off by heart, and you'll be fine Laughing

Thumbs Up

+100 to just doing it

I did a practice test + hazard perception in the morning before my test, then went and did the real test and passed, most the questions were the same, bar a couple

To be totally honest, you could probably still get enough answers correct to pass, even if you'd never ever set eyes on the highway code before. Most questions are just common sense.

If you do have a few hours reading through the highway code then that should pretty much guarantee you pass. Not saying you'll get 100% but you only need 43 out of 50. Which is pretty hard to fail.

The hazard perception part just simply click each time you spot a potential hazard and when you see the actuall main hazard, click twice (the second after a pause).

It's very very easy to be honest, you're worrying for nothing.

College isn't 24/7 Razz
Get a DVD for a fiver and just sit on it for a couple of hours. You might also want to try putting it into your computer and having a few gos too!.

Don't overthink it too much, just do lots of practice tests and learn from your mistakes

No such thing as a guaranteed pass....
If you have done the mocks and ready the books and can consistently get a pass score on the Theory, you ought to have reasonable confidence though.Hazard Perception is more of a lottery, but same applies; if you have done some mocks and can consistently hit them, ought to be reasonably confident.
Going in 'cold' without any prep, relying on common sense... these days I don't think will work too well....

Snowie was doing practice disc last year on the lappy, and I actually told her to stop playing stupid Face-Book 'Hospital' games and get back on with her mocks!

Had to cook dinner in apology, she was doing the mocks, but so much bludy 'first-aid' in there I thought she was playing Face-Book-My-Accident & Emergency Ward..... and was expecting freind requests to join and become a blood donor or something to give her credit points to buy a cat-skan! Laughing

There's a lot more questions in the data-base these days and so many of them are you know it or you don't, obscurities, like the oft ridiculed 'Why are trams more environmentally friendly?' one.

However; bottom line; you ent going to know one way or t'other until you try; so go do, & hope for the best. Worst case you fail; but at least you have had a dry run & know what to expect & put right 2nd time round.

no need to worry about theory, its not difficult, more a pain in the proverbial, just dont rush it, you have plenty of time allocated, and dont forget if you not sure about answers leave them and go back at end, HP is a pain but its all about confidence and common sence, everybody can tell when something is a potential hazzard, cars coming out from side roads, tractors and blind corners, and of course cyclists, just dont click the mouse too often, and you will be fine, YOU WILL BE FINE, thats an order by the way, lol

I bought the highway code and the official guidebook 24 hours before my test, just about finishing reading the last of it before I left for the test centre.

50/50.

Hazard part was less impressive (50/75), but you get the point.. It is literally just common sense. I'm pretty certain I could have done nothing in preparation and passed (The theory part, pretty sure I needed the few times I went through the hazard off a CD)
