What are they like, does anyone know?

I know it'll be different all over the place but anyone take a guess what the average is? What sort of waiting time did you have when you booked it?

Just heard of someone having to wait 7 weeks to get an appointment, which is just crazy. There was me optimistically hoping to would be more like 2 weeks. A test in december....How ideal... Evil or Very Mad

About 4 weeks, but it can be anything from a few weeks to 10 weeks+ depending on test centre and time of year.

From memory had about 3-4 weeks waiting time when I did my test in Feb. 02.

Use the online booking section to get an idea of how long the waiting list is for your area.

Being somewhere fairly 'remote' it may not be too bad. Around december I was trying to book my car test. My local centre's first free place was three months later, I tried others and got one that was a month later.

I could have done mine the next day at 8:40am, but I chose to do it a week later.

The average time at Letchworth is around 5 weeks, but you can get a cancellation test most of the time

I'll be passing me theory on friday so I'll book it then. Thing is, I'm on a tight budget and only have enough for 15 hours worth of tuition at a local training school. Think its best for me to book the test, buy the training and start the training five days before, 4 hours a day.

Don't have a 125 that I couold practise on either. Damn, I wished I'd done this 1st time round when I'd done my first cbt, theory and had a 125 Rolling Eyes

Living in the centre of glasgow isnt going to do me any favours by the sounds of things, regarding waiting times. Sad

I booked a 3 day course, first day was a week after booking it.
3 days training with the test at the end of the third day.

All run by coppers, apart from the instructer that i had who was a loon with a gsxr750 who told me that they are a great bike to wheelie. Actually i seem to remember we spent quite a bit of the time if not most of it in sitting in the park in the sunshine watching the ladies walk past and talking about different aspects of biking! Still wonder how i managed to pass 1st time!

Training schools often book test slots so that they can offer them at the end of a course and without waiting times, they'll charge you for booking it through them though.

I'm willing to accept the cost so long as I can take my baby on the road.

Thanks all, will let you know the outcome Smile

It will all depend on whether it's a busy test centre or not. On a side note it's 10 working days before you can take a re test Wink
