Honda dominator nx650

They any good? I know aesthetically there not everyones cup of tea but I have fallen in love with them! Just a nice looking, powerful old trails bike. Anyone ever had/ridden one? Will I notice much of a power difference from what Im on now? (81 xt250)

Would love some opinions from people on em!

Had one recently, 1997 model (RD08 i think, the later type) - Great bike depending on what you want to do with it, brilliant on back roads with poor surfaces, not so good on A roads / motorways etc as a little vibey and runs out of puff beyond the national speed limit, the build quality on mine was excellent and also quite comfortable, very reliable if serviced regularly, check the condition of shock / exhaust etc as these are not easily available on ebay so will be expensive when needed. Not had a 250 to compare to but can say the Dommie pulls very, very well up to @70mph , good ones seem to hold their price well.

i had one in my yoff
great bike that never let me down, i had come from an xr650,
so the dominator felt a bit lardy in comparison,
id buy another, engine being the xr lump is neigh on bullet proof
