hi all. im going to be doing my mod 2 next week and i thought id start looking for another bike ready. i was maybe thinking of something like a cb 600 hornet or gsf 650 bandit or 600. those are the only ones ive seen that i like but is there anything else similar? really i dont want to spend more than £1500 on the bike. insurance on any of those is only about £130. one thing though i want a bike with a fearing.
i do slightly prefer the look of the bandit but should i comprimise a tiny bit and go for the reliability of the honda? or are both quite similar. what do you all recommend, even if you think a different bike would be better? thanx

Hornets are 10x more capable than a Bandit. Faster, lighter, better handling, better built.... the only really lose out on economy. Fazers are worth a look too. Avoid Bandits, they are fat, heavy, boring and made of cheese.

The engine is on a par, handling meant to be a little worse (I didn't push it when I had a ride on one) and the brakes are better. Tank range is better and its physically a tad bigger so may suit lardarses better.

Bike with a fairing, budget of £1500 ???

CBR600F

You should be able to bag yourself a pre 2001 model with that budget.

In all fairness though. I would go for the cleanest, best looked after and bike with the best service history within your area.

Fazers like a big Ybr, fairly upright and you'll get around 55mpg. Handlings fine in my experience.
