Hi

Fancied one for a while in blue, but found one last weekend and picked it up today:-

With Rob Fzs finding a bike on Gumtree on last weekend it got me to look on Gumtree. Found this one. Not perfect but not bad. Recent respray (although I don't think it was blue originally). Finding a few minor problems with it. Forks feel like someone has built them up using 60W oil in them (like a pile driver). The front brake hose is poorly routed. Bit of play in the steering head bearings. Clutch cable isn't right (switch gear is stopping the clutch lever pulling fully in). And the throttle cable needs routing properly; it had a massive amount of play and I adjusted some of that out but after riding for a bit it has removed all the play in the cable.

Rode it back from York via Squires (they had a 2 stroke day today). Felt like it ran onto reserve in the middle of the peaks which worried me (expected a long walk or a long wait), but when I filled it up it had only used 1.5 gallons so not sure what happened there. Might need the tank and any fuel filters cleaning out.

And with the matching bikes

Daddy bike, Mummy bike and Baby bike.

All the best

Keith

They're bikes, not pokémon, Kickstart Laughing

Nice find, and it looks properly tidy for a bike of that age. Glad the mechanical issues are relatively minor, too.

Not yet.

Charlotte did have a blue / yellow TZR125 many years ago though (sold in 1990 I think).
