Got me thinking some of the bizzare things I do whilst nobody is around. No, nothing sinister or strange sexual acts (well, sometimes) but mostly just the little things.

For example:-

I sing along to songs on the radio but make my own lyrics up
Play out situations in my head and speak aloud a response as if I was having a conversation with someone
Try and avoid stepping on cracks in the pavement
Talk to my dogs as if they understand what I'm saying and they've asked me a question to which I will reply

Yes, I may just be a total wierdo but I have a feeling I'm not the only one.......

You're not Wink I'm officially a nutter now my cat is gone and i have to accept that i'm not a Dr Dolittle and i really am just talking to myself Sad

I do the songs thing. . . .but i tend to answer back "get rid of him, what's the matter with you woman!!!" that kind of thing Embarassed

I discuss at length the contents of the fridge vs the money/shopping situation in relation to what to make for tea whilst standing in front of it with the door open. It helps me think.

I've taken to singing loundly in the car with the windows open. It's nowhere near as muffled as it is when you've got headphones on in your lid. . . .also you can't filter away when people look at you oddly. You just have to wave and smile so they think you're a proper mental and stop looking for fear of you seeing it as an invitation to go over and lick them.

I'll talk to myself & my animals for sure, especially I'm fixing something, I'll talk myself through it as it were, even if I know full well what I'm fixing.

I may or may not walk like RoboCop when going to the kitchen to get a beer. I may or may not make the mechanical noises, too.

To me, washing the dishes while in the bath is an efficient use of hot water, and is creative genius and a good use of soaking time.

Everyone else sees it as deeply disturbing and now i've just announced it on the internet. Oops.

I like being wierd although sometimes would like to be a bit more normal so non-creative geniuses aren't freaked out.

I'd find being 'normal' a bit restricting though.

Do you not come out of the bath covered in food?

No as I don't tend to leave food on my plates other than slight smears.

The detergent applied to the sponge then disperses those slight smears into a large volume of water.

And slight smears from parts of your body make it on to the plates. Note to self, bring paper plates if ever visiting Colin.

Soap and detergent are pretty effective at holding stuff in water, and nasties dont live long on a dry surface without stuff to live on.

Nothing is ever completely clean, but if concentrations are pretty low, that's good enough for me.

No, it's the act of a filthy savage.

That is not a justification that would work with anyone other than yourself, Colin.

No Hellkat, I definitely spent way too many nights staying up late with bcf when I should have been going to bed early, and I only discovered the delights of combining bathing with washing up once she had left.

Arguably I left her to do the washing up a bit too much so never had reason to discover it.

I'm sure you have some unusual habits too hellkat.

Yeah, I can only imagine that discovering one of your pubes wrapped around a fork would've expedited matters, really.

I tourette in the style of John Davidson.

Not so much the swearing, more the barking and ticking.

However, I do enjoy a swear in an assumed Norn Iron accent (ye cont ye, etc), and will often wander around the house talking to myself in a Norn Iron stylee.

I most certainly do Smile
I just can't think of any at the moment
(apart from licking the plates on an occasional basis, but I do still wash them IN THE SINK on their own afterwards)

Whilst making my lunch just now, I found myself wondering would I rather eat off a plate at Col's which he had bathed with, or licked clean and put back in the stack ...

Either colin's dirt off his hair and body go on his plates or his plate oils and small bits are on him, or just both.
