Some donkey rapists stole my bike last night from the Sydenham/Crystal Palace area of south London.

Reg is LX07 ENF

It looks like this:

If you see it, feel free to follow the rider home and play fingernail pliers.

There was an R1 stolen from Sydenham a week or two ago that I know of, and now my bike, so I suspect a gang is targeting the area. It was probably a pro job with a van, seeing as the alarm/immobiliser is very sensitive and the bike is very heavy.

They took my cover too. Bastards.

Police have been and taken details, but don't expect to see it again. I'll keep an eye on ebay and gumtree for bits of it.

As much as I sympathise with the rage/despair of having a bike nicked, now would be the perfect time to look at decent oil boilers, and bask in the awesome glory of some 80's style bike porn.

I've just pulled up the specs, and my GS generates more hp, and only ~4 ft/lb less torque, so you're not so likely to notice the difference. The engine's not a particularly frenetic lump, either, so you'll still have the relaxed vibe, just without the potato sountrack...

Gutted to hear mate, wouldn't have considered it a typically stolen bike at all. Sad

Hope you find it/it gets returned. I have never seen another one so odds on finding it should be fairly decent Thumbs Up (obviously trying to bring the morale up rather than throw gayfag jokes Wink )

Harleys are very desirable to thieves. A lot of it is that very rarely is a Harley left standard, and aftermarket parts are quite expensive. So, there is a market for them...

Bad luck Robby, i would say i hope it turns up, but tbh i dont think i would want my bike back after been TWOC'd, by some little thieving bastards.

Urgh, that'll be well on its way to Elbonia by now. I hope they got prolapsed rectums from the strain of lifting it. Sad

Yes, fully comp. Insurance are going to call me tomorrow to take all of the details.

As for a replacement, I'll wait a bit. The only thing that can replace a Harley is another Harley, but I'll get my 250 back on the road in the meantime.

Comments just added by another biker to the feed with Robby's info:

my kawasaki ninja zx6r was stolen last night same time. the police chased them down to Sydenham and then lost them.

its a white ninja zx6r. It was stolen around midnight. it also had an alarm, cover and disc lock. Sad I have no hope that they will find it but please if anyone sees it, let me know. please!

There were about 12 to 15 guys wearing helmets and bike jackets. They attempted to take our Honda CBR 600. they rode both away but abandoned the CBR a few roads away.

Not wanting to detract from Robby, but if there's a group that big getting away from Police and that determined I can only hope that both the Police and people keeping their eyes peeled can make the situation public enough locally that either they're found out or give up.

Yeah I'm maybe too optimistic. Embarassed

I don't know if these things are in any way connected, but the night the R1 went missing, a police car ended up on it's roof in someone's garden, after the driver lost control on a speedbump during a chase.

Word was a bike was heard travelling at speed, seconds before.

Might make the cops a bit wary of giving chase.
