Couple days ago i went down to a garage who are storing my bike.
Whilst i was speaking to one of the mechanic's on the topic of crashing. I told him when i hit something head on, the first thing that started paining me was my groin area, he started laughing. I thought he thought that i was bs'ing but he told me that he had a similar accident and ruptured both of his testicals.
So I'm wondering if anyone here wears anything to prevent such injuries, maybe testicular guard which are currently being used by cricket players lol.

I wore a cricketers box when I was breaking in a one-piece suit and it was fine apart from when I needed to take a piss.

The trick is to learn how to not crash, as has been indicated.

I can't imagine that wearing a box while riding would be particularly comfortable, nor would it necessarily protect you all that well, since it'd rest against the tendons that run up the inside of your thigh when seated.

I was hit head on by a car in the late 90s. I jumped in the air and cleared the car rather than take the hit in the family jewels.

The choice was a higher risk of death or alternatively, well, the second option wasn't worth thinking about. I took the death option.

My plums are so mahoosive that their inertia would punch through any protective clothing/leathers/vehicle in their path.

Tea bagging choking risk then. Hope you have the required safety notices posted.

On topic a known problem with the more sporty bikes. Try the protective Chinese practice of Tiea Bu Shan, you can train your testicles to draw up into your abdomen* Very Happy

My junior one over long johns, once 'seated' is not too bad. Would not use one for general riding.

I think a couple of junior crash helmets could help here.

My brother squished his knackers in a crash, he's always worn a cricket box whilst on the bike ever since.

Just watch the classic Kung-fu movie - The Invincible Armour, especially the final fight scene.

This is the ever rebellious Shaggy DA, he probably goes and has long arguments with himself in F&FW to avoid getting up to gold blob status. He has been there and done that, this is his subtle dig at the establishment and the carrot offered by Korn, synthetic peer pressure that is supposed to ensure that we pander to the dribbling masses. Those aren't green blobs - they're a weighed and cunningly balanced crusade against the mindless sheep that chase popularity Wink

I was rather casually following a mate down from Snake Pass to Derwent Reservoir car park, and stood on the pegs as we went over a little bump, didn't really brace myself though as I came crashing down on the tank balls-first. Struggled to get off the bike when we parked up and felt that sick feeling you get when you catch the very bottom of your nads (like when kicked from behind)
