According to an MCN auction thingy on Ebay he will be there.

What does meeting him gain you, exactly?

I've never wanted to meet anyone famous under such circumstances. They're not going to be your mates, and in case of female celebs the only whiff you'll get is a brief waft of Chanel no 5.

That's not aimed at you Pinky, I was speaking in very general terms.

An experience? a story? the kind of thing that life's about - a day doing something different...

Not a celeb person myself, but I have queued to get a couple of albums signed and I've been to a couple of smaller star studded movie premiers (inside, not screaming at the red carpet). It's all an experience, much rather do that occasionally than sit at home every night watching Eastenders or going down the same old pub every day.

I have never been bothered by celebrities and all that but the only time I was in awe was meeting Seve Ballesteros at a golf tournament. Nick Faldo had come onto he practice range and ignored all the spectators there walking down to the far end away from us scum.

Seve came on and spent 30 mins chatting to us, signing autographs having a laugh and just being the decent guy he was. i don't do heroes but Seve comes as close as anyone ever could for me.
