Unmarked police car (black BMW G*10 LP* , sorry I can't remember it Sad )

Joined the A20 after the M20 finished london bound.

Easy to notice really, standard police clothing, lights in front grille.

Been a shit start to the day Thumbs Down

I should point out, they were actually nice guys, I was taking the piss a bit with the speed...

It's north worth bothering with the reg plates, there's just so many unmarked cars that you'd be better off just looking out for tell-tale signs like two occupants, grille lights, multiple aerials, stuff on the parcel shelf, new and/or very clean vehicle. Often only some signs are present but should give you a heads up on the majority of them.

There's a black Volvo T5 doing the rounds too. Occupants wearing England football shirt and grey t-shirt.

Oh and the black unmarked 05 Blade that nabbed me...

Well..

Two occupants, correct I could see that.
Grille lights, pointless if I'm coming from behind.
Multiple aerials, was only the usual shark fin on BMWs.
Sat in po po car, no parcel shelf as dodgy BMW.
New yes, but the old 08 Volvo that pulled me was dirty with a "Child on board" sticky thing.

Either way, just don't speed eh. Laughing

It's an offence to fail to stop if they are in uniform, but there's nothing that requires them to be so in order to try and get you to stop.

See this law professor getting it wrong because he didn't read the plain words of the statute.

Am I the only wrong to think the child on board sign is a little wrong? I know they are unmarked but isn't this sounds like they are just trying to catch people off guard rather than enforce the rules? Please feel free to correct me if you think I'm wrong?

I was once absolutely blasting along the A2 coastbound (just after Gravesend) quite late after working into the evening. Saw that black T5 crusing at 65 in lane 1 just in time to slow and cruise by at 70... Cool

You know they're called "Black Rats", right? And take a pride in being the most hated division. The Strathclyde lot (at least) have a sweepstake every Xebusmass to see how many other coppers they can ticket.

Would it be considered fraud to say you've got more points than you really do? Thinking

I would probably take an SP30 for £100 given the tiny rise in premium...but given I'd be on 9 points... I'd probably reconsider as I am bound to be stopped again... Laughing
