...and it was empty! the cones were there like so I could get a good idea of the layout, but there wasn't a soul about and I thought "I could do my test ere, right now, none of this waiting til Tuesday malarkey, pass me an examiner!

What's with all the waiting lists if the place is bloody empty?! I was rather looking forward to seeing someone do a massive fail... Very Happy

Because their asshole's.

They would rather sit on their over sized " know it all " ass's having coffee and biscuits rather than passing people.

ummmm. I'm sure I had an email the other day saying that examiners were going on strike. I wonder if it was today?

Nah, wasn't planned until next week https://www.dft.gov.uk/news/stories/dsa-news-20120904/

They were just enjoying the sun Wink

So long as they don't strike on Tuesday (which wasn't their planned day anyway, I know) then I might, just might, let them off for slacking today.

On another related note, going to view it really helped calm my nerves, it's blinking massive, you could get a bus between those cones on the slalom!

They don't seem to do module ones and twos at the same time, so the examiner was probably out on a two. Or taking module ones at a different centre.

Well when I was booking my tests it was noticable that different centres had tests available on different days, almost as if the examiners were travelling around the centres performing tests on different days of the week.

I think there's only one bike examiner at St Helens. A very nice lady called Annette, who really cares about following distance when you get to your Mod 2 there.

Nopes,

Annette, Jimmy and Paul Cole.

1st mod1 - Annette - Passed 1st time
1st Mod2 - Paul Cole - Passed 1st time

<licence revoked>

2nd mod1 - Annette - Passed 1st time
2nd mod2 - Jimmy - Passed 1st time

Paul Cole was being a right arsehole a few years ago for failing everyone all the time. After several complaints were made by several training schools he was sent to Swansea (I think) for re-training.

Annette and Jimmy are lovely people. Really really nice.

Thanks Cansa, I shall be meeting one of those folks tomorrow then! Eek! Nerves creeping in! And it has to be sodding raining doesn't it?! Oh well, not like I've never ridden in the rain before, washout summer, what a year to choose to learn!

Dont worry about the rain.

On my 1st mod2 it was completely pissing down. Torrential. Cats & dogs and all that jazz.

On the NSL dual-carriage way I approached the roundabout.
Attacked it like a boss @ 60 on the inside line heading straight on.
The examiner was in his BMW something and tried to pass me on the outer lane.

I spotted his back end slip out Very Happy

Just take your time, be confident in your ability to ride and don't fuck it up.

GL Thumbs Up

UPDATE!

I PASSED! With ZERO minors and perfect (as in, spot on requirement) speeds! You couldn't wipe the grin off my face on the way back! GET IN!!

I had an examiner called Robbie, so seems there is one to add to the list! I think i offended him though, when I got off my bike I looked around and couldn't see him, then I turned and said "Oh, there you are!".... he's quite short... Embarassed He made a joke of it all though Laughing

I did a search for 'cansa licence revoked' and SO many threads came up where it was mentioned that I gave up looking for the initial one and instead came up with an imaginary story which involved rockets, jelly, a jack russel kissing a rainbow, a christmas cracker for an exhaust, and a weeble wobble policeman. I'm sure it's much more exciting than the real story Razz

Very Happy I searched, but couldn't find any thread clearly stating what happened, I can only assume he did something bloody stupid.
