Chemtrails...

First I heard of this was at my last place of employment. One of the lads there told me about it, and said that it was done with government run aircrafts taking off from secret runways, and spreading a chemical (Cant remember what he called it), which is slowly killing us.

Well, this statement just hit my BS detector at full speed!
I laughed him out of my bay, and carried on with my work.


Fast forward a year, to now. Just on facebook, and seen another theory about Chemtrails, being used to control the weather.


Now again, I think this is utter bullshite. Simply because I live under the Gatwick flight path, and I see plane, after plane, with this white shit coming from the engines.

Are these people trying to say, that every pilot on this earth, is sworn to secrecy over this if it's true?

There is a simple explanation for vapour trails.

In low air pressure, water that existed in gas form, condenses into liquid form making little droplets that reflect light so being visible as white.

In the turbulent air behind wing tips, and in the turbulent air behind engines, there is opportunity for water to condense in this way. It will hang in the air like this for a while before it evapourates back into gas form.

You could argue that it's easier for it to condense if there are particles for it to condense onto. So vapour trails could be used as an argument that something is being released, but it's unlikely.

I remember planes doing this when I was in my pushchair at about 3 or 4 years old. This is going back like 20/21 years now.

And, my parents remember it when they were young.

So I also believe it's utter bullshit.

I mentioned chemtrails in the illuminati thread, as a joke.

The whole conspiracy seems to say it is designed for a couple of different things.

Weather control, or mind control.

Weather control - probably the most plausible, physically. It's already been shown that certain kinds of weather can be manipulated using chemicals sprayed on clouds and so on. Thing is though, its already being done quite openly, it doesn't need any sneaking around.

I accidentally found myself sucked into tthe black whole of conspiracy justification a few weeks ago and the anecdote I was reading was apparantly from a "aircraft mechanic" who worked to service big jets.

His story is that the chemicals are sprayed from an "extra cistern" which is part of the toilet system of a jet.

He claims after he found this, the head of the airline came to see him and fired him on his own doorstep blah blah blah.

Those cisterns might be big compared to a household cistern, but from the perspective of actually getting anything done chemically on the scale of chemtrails, they are useless.

This is of course supposing the "aircraft mechanic" actually existed and wasn't talking straight out of his arse.

tl;dr The only way chemtrails would actually be effective is if they were Minister of Magic Jeremy Hunt Approved Homeopathic mind control chemicals.

If you think about the size of the hug volume of air between the plane at altitude, and the ground, you will realise that any chemicals, may be able to affect cloud formation, but they would not be able to affect people.

LSD is pretty potent per mg, but even that would need to be sprayed at low level by something like a crop duster to have any effect.

Quite a few planes use an anti-icing device called a weeping wing that pumps droplets of anti-icing chemicals onto the leading edge of the aircraft wing.

They now make up and integral part of the wing but early prototype versions consisted of a network of hoses and nozzles spread across the surface of the wing.

They definately fitted them to predator drones, I remember seeing a picture of one because I'm interested in aviation.

This over-excited the tinfoil hat brigade who saw pictures of a drone equipped with spray nozzles and a fluid tank, put two and two together and made eleventy million.

People who dismiss this out of hand are completely ignorant of this subject coupled with this country. This has already happened in this country many many years ago. Go search the National Archives for Cloud Seeding.

Now we have the mad-hat Global Warming alarmists coming out with all sorts of nutty ideas. Putting a hell of a lot mirrors into space, spraying sea water from a ship into the atmosphere and more on topic "stratospheric aerosol injection".

It is a proposition being put forward and has already been discussed in many academic circles, commons committees and taxpayer money is being handed out to do computer simulations in universities (SPICE).

So is it any wonder people are considering trials are actually taking place but the public aren't been told about??

Go and read the stuff about Cloud Seeding and how the public weren't told back then. I guess the people who raised the possibility of it happening were labelled nutties too.
