Hi, I brought the bike on Monday knowing it had a few problems. However, a mechanic friend had a look over it on the Tuesday and has refused to let me go out on it as it was so dangerous. But anywhoo, we have spent the past few days stripping back bits and trying to get it road legal. We;re currently trying to change the rear indicators as one was just a bulb but the wiring colours are different. On the old indicator it is orange and green, whereas the new ones are black and black with white stripes. Which goes to which?
Also need to replace the head gasket but need the torque settings and can't find them. Does anybody have any experience with these bikes? Ta muchly.

Just use some trial and error with the indicators, they will only have two ways they can be wired in. If its wrong i believe the indicator will just stay on or not come on at all and the other way it will work properly.

Had a quick googling session and unfortunately cannot find the torque settings.

EDIT: Although i did find this https://www.haynes.com/repairmanuals/hartford/vr125%20z%20city%20motard

May be useful.

Thanks, had a look at that manual but it's for the 'Z', also found a manual for VR125 H but only from 2005 onwards. Mine is a 2004, will there be much difference?
