so i got my cbt tomorrow and like all other people im pretty excited but wondering about footwear.....i actually own some pretty nice boots for biking and im wondering am i actually able to use them for my cbt?

may sound daft but hey its always worth asking....so any help would be awesome

awh i guess safety is last then Crying or Very sad

ah well its always worth making sure xD, i could use my motocross boots though..........ah well better to use proper boots on a bike than trainers!

These have never let me down.

Crashed in them twice now and still have almost 11% of my feet remaining. I don't see how anyone could complain about those figures.

Compare that to the PARFS (Post Accident Remaining Foot Score) of 2% for wearing these:

Joking aside I've heard flippers are best for CBT, you don't have to move your foot on the peg to change gear...awesome.

passed my cbt now absolute great instructor from bikewise (shrewsbury) i almost killed myself on a round about twice but thankfully he gave me a few more chances to get it right i did in the end!

cant do a U-turn on a cg 125 though being 6'3 and the handle bars hitting my knee doesnt help alot tbh.

but i still passed!

What?...you didn't get turned away for having motorbike boots on? Pfft, what kind of tin pot place was it? Laughing

Congratulations on getting through the day. Now book yourself your theory test and get some road experience. Heck, you may as well book your Mod1, there's long waiting lists so it'll give you a month to prepare..

im gonna get about a yrs experience first before i book it plus i wont be able to get booked in till november december time and it also gets changed on january 19th (info came from m cbt'er who also does the other tests) so im gonna get some experience and then do them plus at the same time i have time to save up for it as after all my bills are paid for atm i wont have enough for a while

You don't need a year's riding experience to pass the Mod1. My thought would be, immediately put in for your mod1, its only £15 so no great loss, if you pass then you've still got 3 plus months to get some experience and take the mod2 before it becomes a lot harder (and more expensive) after January.
