i dont think i have, but i have seen the 125 moto gp bikes with the dual disc brakes and thought they looked wicked! is it possible to get them done for a stock rs125! and if so how much you think it would set me back! haveing twice the braking must be a good thing!

Probably would be able to, it will cost (more than likely) as much as your bike does...

Braided hoses if you dont allready have them
New brake fluid
New brake pads

Other than that, just make sure to give yourself more breaking time by looking further ahead.. seems obvious but i doubt anyone (appart from any cg125 owners) has worse brakes than my single pot height of 70s technology things, 1 year and counting and still alive stoppies are a no no though i suspect...

No offence intended, (you wouldn't belive the mad crap i was planning for my cg125 ) put it this way, when you move up to a 600 or whatever you will appreciate it allot more

One thing with brakes, try practiceing emergency stops, a couple of times ive locked the back, no bigie, just let off and reapply... sorta cool but worrying if it was in a **** SHAT CAR!!!! sort of situation.... learning how much of a handfull you can grab could save your life one day...

The difficulty is, you would have to find a whole front end that would fit in as you need to have mounting points for the callipers on both fork legs. You may well have difficulty finding a wheel that is small enough that takes two discs too.

I can vouch for the fact that even should you find this lot, it is seldom as simple as just bolting them in. The yokes are usually slightly different widths and so you then have to make spacers. Speedo drive issues etc. etc.

It all adds up to a whole lot of grief.

Its possible to do, but it will require stealing parts off other bikes so how well it would work out i couldnt say.

I'm sure its been done before though, google about and see what you can come up with.

The RG125FU-N had an USD front end designed for twin disks but only had one fitted. Might be worth a look.

Hi

You might be able to find a front end to fit (such as an RS250 one) but be aware that it is not really going to be worthwhile. With EBC HH pads the RS125 brakes worth very well. With twin disks you are going to add a load of extra unsprung weight to screw the handling up while gaining no useful extra braking.
