I go in for my shoulder operation tomorrow to repair a lesion in my shoulder. The pre-surgery briefing has explained that depending on how quickly my body repairs itself, I will have my arm in a sling for 5-8 weeks. Any movement at all can cause the repair to fail, so I have to keep it as still as possible.
It's going to be a boring few weeks. Really can't think of many things that I can do with only one arm. The majority of my hobbies involve two. I'm quite an active person, love riding my bicycle, obviously have an interest in motorcycles. I enjoy cooking and I play guitar. Not to mention football and other sports I play. Luckily I enjoy reading so that will pass some of the time. What else is there to do with only one arm.

1) Hollow out a baguette
2) big lump of warm butter into the baguette
3) Washing machine on spin cycle
4) Do I have to spell everything out?

I've overthought this haven't I?

In Australia, most washing machines are top loaders. Its a standard joke that all a lady needs is a wet towel on spin cycle and some strategic leaning on a corner.

Oh I dunno. I'd say sticking with an appliance which lets the person doing the washing actually enjoy the job is pretty forward thinking, wouldn't you?
