I did my MOD 1 and 2 on the same day a couple of weeks ago and passed both with one minor on MOD 2. Think of it this way, would you rather 2 stressfull days of tests or just the one Just make sure you nail MOD1 and it should give you the confidence to nail MOD2. I found it a rather calming experience. Good luck and don't forget to do them shoulder checks on the MOD1, sounds daft because you know its just you there, but quite a few people I know failed for not doing them. ____________________ It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.

I did my MOD1 at 9:00 and was nervous as hell, by 12:40 I was doing my MOD2 and was calm as could be I did get a couple hours training before test which helped, in effect I had a mock test first which I failed lol. It was also in a town I have never been in which filled me with dread, but to be fair it made it so much easier. ____________________ It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.

Any discussion about what is a good and bad idea is futile, so stop stressing about something that's booked.
Focus on passing both the tests, if you pass, then what a splendid idea it was and you knew it all along!
You get serious man points for doing both in 1 day. Take in all the info given by your instructor and browse around these forums, there is some good test advice to be found.
Best of luck fella! ____________________ Yamaha FZS600 (Now gone to heaven) > CBR600F4i (SOLD) > '99 YZF-R1 |

Pretty much universal opinion from those in the know (like examiners, trainers and those who've failed) say it's better doing it somewhere you don't know the roads, cos you pay attention a lot more and that concentration makes you ride better. |
Yeah, i've heard this, but I don't really agree. I know the way the traffic works, I know the quirks, I know where I'm gonna be coming up to a busier point etc. I remember people saying this same thing when i was a kid doing my driving tests. I knew people who had failed multiple times in their own town and then tried all the different towns where the test was "so much easier", and then still fail, and eventually pass in their own town. I reckon if there was a straw poll here the percentage of riders passing in their own town would be higher ____________________ Current bike........'09 Honda CBF 125, seeking new big bike............New bike found '01 Honda VFR 800 |

I've opted for separate days just in case I fail mod1, which I did
Passed second time and mod2 few days later first time - which I think was easier. But I hate waiting, and usual options are: mod1 around 8-9 in the morning and mod 2 3-4 hours later.
I would guess it all depends how good your with your nerves. ____________________ Bandit GSF600 '00 |
