Strangely, I dreamt last night that Brian Blessed (in full Vultan outfit) came to my parent's house for Xmas dinner. He thought my (frequent) impersonations of him were brilliant (Gordon's alive?), and bellowed with laughter and banged his mace on the table every time I did it.

Perhaps even more strange, was that our very own Howling Terror was also there, but he was more interested in offering me £30 for a cassette recording of (not) Lady Ga-Ga that I owned. Afterwards, we went to the local shop to buy Rizlas, it was very icy and he kept slipping over on the way.

Note to HT: please make sure you have suitable winter foot wear if you intend to enter my dreams of Xmas dinner at my parent's home again.

P.s. - it wasn't really Lady Ga-Ga on the cassette, but despite my assurances you wouldn't believe me. I'd also ask you to refrain from stubbing out your spliffs in my cassette deck.

Thumbs Up

The original was Pass the Koutchie (spliff) by the Mighty Diamonds Thumbs Up

The sanitised pop version with all weed references removed was Pass the Dutchie by Musical Youth. Thumbs Down

Despite that, it was still fun to see Musical Youth on Blue Peter trying to explain what a dutchie was.

Kutchie/Koutchie/Kouchie typically refers to a pipe, not a spliff. This sort of thing:

https://api.ning.com/files/gX881Bu2cMO8xF6IOwieuJ4-4pDdVNbbhzBQqYRw90GpkiIeWSb4acNG1IwTcSrY7peqqAHVYxtaTv-aHX3TgMUP38L7dnmb/chalice003.jpg

Dutchie = Dutch pot/oven = big (usually) cast iron cooking pot. This sort of thing:

Thumbs Up
