Starting a glamping business and in the process of developing a logo. Hoping I could just get peoples thoughts on what pops into your head when you think of it? All ideas are welcome however please no NSFW as I'm in work and wont be able to look at them!

Thanks Karma

Edit:

This is the kind of terrain where it will be located.. woods and trees on top of a mountain with a nice view of the valley

I hope you have plenty of £££, the 'Glamping' tents I have been to must have been thousands each.

Yeah they are expensive. Its a family business that we think will work really well. Starting small and building from there.

So almost as nice as staying in a Travelodge then? Wink

Seriously though, good luck with it. I'm just glad it's not clamping.

Honestly, first thought was "Enchanted Nights" sounds like a forgotten song by Hot Chocolate or the like. Then I went to "Some enchanted evening" which IIRC is a South Pacific musical number. Which then let me to "Happy Talk" by Captain Sensible.

Guess I was playing a game of word association football all by myself Shocked

"Enchanted Nights" ??

A crap, teenage rom-com with shiimering vampires in it??
Or a 5 star hotel with middle aged couples trying unsuccessfully to rekindle a dying marriage??

...or maybe I'm just far too cynical Evil or Very Mad

"Enchanted Nights" itself makes me think of pixies, faries and Enid Blyton Faraway-Tree sort of stuff with hints of Disney. The sort of place that makes The Shire look like Moss Side.

I think the name is poor tbh.

Your market is middle class professional families with young kids, looking for a rustic, but comfortable holiday.

Enchanted nights is a far too cheesy for that.

You'd be better off with a simple name, tieing it to the landscape/region/situation. The one I visited (note it was a friend who was actually staying) was called 'Feather Down Farm', because it was on a farm.

Others I've just looked at are called 'Safari Britain' - camping connotations & safaris are exotic, 'Blackberry Wood', 'Woodland Yurting', etc.

The name is not so important as the offering, and associated word of mouth recommendations.

Something like that, even something more simple like "Bubbs' Farm" sounds like it could have always been called that. Whereas "Enchanted Nights" sounds like it's been named by a committee working for a marketing company.

Enchanted nights is a nice name but I think it might be a bit too girly and almost conjure up ideas of some kind if Disney camping experience. I think you would do better to have a name that better encompasses the wide audience you may have with this business. What exactly, I don't know, but I'll have a think and let you know if I think I come up with anything good.

By the way, who is doing your logo/branding? Shameless plug for business here - I'm a graphic designer, working full time inhouse at the moment but my partner and I also run a freelance business. We do websites too Wink If you're interested I could send you a copy of our portfolio and some price estimates?!

Hey all comments are apreciated. This is not a final decision on the name. It's just what we are with at the moment.

All constructive critisism is well appreciated. Smile Thumbs Up

The first song that popped into my head was 'Vincent' by Don McLean......Starry, starry night, look out on a summer's day......shadows on the hills, sketch the trees and the daffodils....etc

Anyways, it does sound very, very gay to me. I'd expect a lot of bumming to take place on a campsite named that.

Thumbs Up

That's.....errrrrr......not me.......it must be, errrrrrmmmmm, my identical twin brother who has exactly the same name.

Yes, that's it.

Whistle

(So, exactly how many gays will be there? I'm especially interested in Bears and Muscle Marys. Purely for research purposes, obviously.....I'm writing a book about it. Yes. Definitely. Research for my book. Honest. I'm not gay, and neither is my boyfriend.)
