Going to get new clutch lever (adjustable) to replace original (fixed).
However, can only get it in silver, original is black.

Now normally I'd just say I'd hang it up and out with the Hammerite black spray. Trouble is with it being adjustable is this a good idea? Will it cause any problems.

Also if anyone has advice on what prep work/primer and is it advisable to laquer it?

Have been told alternative is to have it powder coated, but this sounds like it could be expensive for one lever? Any ideas?

Thanks in anticipation Smile Thumbs Up

The primer, paint and lacquer will probably cost more than to get it powder coated Smile Considering each can will be £5 (unless you can find suitable paint in those little tiny ones)

Just do it. Hammerite/ smoothrite will be fine. The paint is not that hard so it'll just wear through in the required area if necessary.

If you can find an industrial estate which has a powder coating place near it then go there as it will be much cheaper than a full blown retail place.

I did my wheels both front and rear in gold (which was the most expensive colour they do) for £36.

If you cant find anywhere that will do them on the cheap you could always take em off and send em up to me and ill get em powder coated for you asap as im going to do my brake and clutch levers on wednesday. Powder coating takes about a day and would probably be about £7 - £10
btw: im in brum

hope this helps

Tried phoning a few powder coating companies near me.
Appears not interested in small one-off jobs, i.e. minimum charge £85 Confused

Will keep looking Sad
