After much nagging I finally got the wife to come on the back of my bike. I have been asking her for the past couple of weeks since I passed my test, but she said she never would. It was only a mile to our daughters house and back, but its a start Anyone elses partner refuse to go on their bike??? ____________________ It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.

Ain't no way er indoors would ever go on pillion, she wants nothing to do with bikes - death of a family member couple of years back has cemented her views.
that said she respects the fact I do ride & supports from a distance.
Now my 18 yr old son's a completely different proposition - I literally have to tip toe the bike off driveway or he's on the bugger!
But at least unlike his mum , he ain't a back seat none stop nag!! ____________________ I might not be a gynecologist, but I know a cunt when I see one |

My wife swore she would never get on the back as she was shit scared. When she was 16 she went on someones bike and they went over 100mph round a load of twisty bends in Weymouth. Then today out the blue she just said lets have a go on the back then Its great cos we have been married 9 years so don't really do much together anymore hahaha... I personaly would NEVER get on the back of anyones bike ____________________ It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.

Yup all past 3 of my girlfriends didnt want to ride bikes - 2 past there DAS and are now on the roads.
My current one is still on CBT with the intensions of doing there DAS within the next few months..
But she had a pretty bad crash this afternoon, with a car, resulting her going over the car head first
Unsure if it will put her off - her mouth survived at least |

Memorable quotes have been.
'I like it when we take off' ..It's easily done on some bridges etc.
'The ground was so close I could touch it' ...That was on the little 250 and somewhere in Derbyshire..Poor thing was probably on it's knees anyway.
Not had anyone turn down a ride on the back, almost the opposite.
Reckon I've almost done just as many miles with pillions as solo. My mum squawked and carried on abit when she rode pillion, and likewise my sister. Although to be honest they had some payback coming...so I may of rolled on the throttle briskly.
I like taking non-riding people on the back...they don't try and 'help'. Mind you, when you take someone who's a good pillion and reads the roads like the rider attempts to do. You can hustle. ____________________ Diabolical homemade music Bandcamp and Soundcloud

Mine never would, really anti the idea. Recently on a drive to do more together I pointed out that we could go out on the bike. To my complete astonishment (and concern) she agreed
I honestly thought she'd hate it, she's a pretty bad passenger in a car at times so I figured she wouldn't be able to stand the bike. Especially with me in control, being known for enjoying my speed Personally, I've been pillion once and hated it so I wasn't looking forward to it massively.
However she loved it - I could hear her laughing like a maniac when I pinned it past a row of sports cars and when I was avoiding those speed bumps divided into three with the 'Ambulance gaps'. She asks me when we can next go out now
I did teach her to ride about eight years ago on my TZR but now she wants teaching on the GPZ with the idea of getting her own test done! So from 'NEVER!' to 'I want a bike' in about two weeks She's even talking about helping me with the mechanic side of things... But that may be too far ____________________ 'Allo! The gf has her own bike, not that I mind taking her on the back, she's a much better pillion than I am!
But I'll take anyone out on the back, I like giving people a taste of biking, especially if they haven't tried it before. But i don't do the "lets scare the shit out them!" thing, i start off slow and gentle, and after a couple of miles, just ask them if they're happy to go a bit faster, and faster, and faster. Good fun.
