Hi all,

I have a Lextmoto Gladiator 125, and I was out yesterday visiting a friend, and we went out for a ride. After that the bike has been making a weird noise. When i start it, it sounds bubbly, and when I rev the engine it sounds horrific. It's really hard to explain, but I can get a video if needs be. Need this sorted by tomorrow morning if possible, as I have to travel to work using it o.O.

It sounds like it's comng from the exhaust pipe, that goes into the engine (I think. im not techincal with bikes!). I'm not sure whether something is simply lose, or whether it's something a tad more serious. The bike is only a month old or so, so still under warranty. So yeah, if you think a video will help, let me know and I'l do one Smile

Thanks in advance!
Ash

Well i'm running ti to the dealers where I got it tomorrow before work, to see what they think. As it's under warranty, hopefully it wont be too bad to fix!

Thanks!

I know exactly what that is.

It's your pulley wheel. When you turn the throttle, the wheel wobbles and it hits the casing around it, causing that awful noise because it's broken.

That pulley will need replacing.

Your file is way too big to open, so can't make an educated guess...

So here's an uneducated one: I'd guess it's exhaust gasket which needs replacing. A five-minute job.

Ahh - Is that the thing on the right hand side of the bike? The white fan looking thing in the black casing? I said to my mates that could be it o.O They're only £8 too - but under warranty, it should be covered yes?

Thanks for all your help too guys! When im back from the dealers il let you know the verdict Smile

It's that located in your transmission case. When that broke on my scooter it took me ages to figure it out...the mechanic told me it was the pulley and was rattling like a bitch. New pulley later and the problem was fixed Thumbs Up

BTW thanks for the karma rating Rolling Eyes

Right, I took it down yesterday, and turns out it was really REALLY simple. The nuts holding the xhaust bracket thing in place had come off - 2 nuts, one locking has dne the job Smile
