Hello folks,

had one to many the other night and rode home,
Downshifted by accident without using the clutch to a huge grind/crunch/whine noise, now the gear changes feel heavy and clunky as hell.
Is it likely i've fucked my gearbox?
Or am i just being paranoid and it's actually fine.

also, my fork seals are leaking like a twat again, how long can i leave it before it does any damage to the front suspension/forks

cheers, Matt

Dont know how long you can ignore the fork seals w/o the suspension collapsing but make sure the fork oil that's leaking doesnt go near your brakes

As said above drain the oil when you have it in a container get a magnet and separate the metal from the oil ( if anything )

As for the fork seal's you can leave it until they start bottoming, but it's something you don't want to ignore, waiting untill your fork collapse will have the effect of compressing your fork tubes, they won't be dead straight, and they will need to be straightedge, once that happens your bushes in your forks will then start to wear. Then you will be spending more and more money on parts and labour.

Good grief. Laughing

Just get the seals changed. It'll affect your handling.

Plus fork oil can be slippy stuff if it gets on your tyres.
