Good luck! That's what the practices are for - getting all the errors out of the way! I dropped the bike doing the manual handling on my practice the night before my Mod 1, then went on to ace it with no minors! Just chill, don't overthink it today/tonight or you'll get yourself wound up, remember all your shoulder checks, and take things slowly. It's easy, honest Very Happy

Remember your arm signals, your wheelies and your stoppies. And don't forget to jump over the gate rather than allowing you to ride through it, it's a trick question.

i'll make sure to do a stoppie as I get to the examiner in my t-shirt shorts and sandals

made a right mess of the manual wheeling every time haha, not a fail level mess but it's always been a bit haphazard and wonky

I think you are probably first up. Mine was at 8.15am and I was first up. I thought by being first up it would mean nobody would be watching, but there were 3 bikers that pulled up to have a look which was slightly perturbing.

Good luck though, just try to relax if you can. I think going for a ride beforehand helps....my local dsa centre is 30 minutes ride away so by the time I got there I'd had a nice ride to take my mind off things and help me relax.

na not yet nick, I'd prefer to get everything done by 29th but that's probably cutting it... purely due to my insurance being up then and it'll be a pain in the ass changing everything over when i pass.

Suppose i have 14 days after it I could cancel the policy in though but i'd rather be done and dusted!

Yeah it's about a 40 minute ride to the test centre, hopefully that'll clear my head a bit in prep

Bollocked it up!

Sad proper gutted, mainly due to the waiting list for retest o_O

All the parts I was worried about, absolutely smashed em, both speed runs were 56kph, no problems with the swerve.

The one part I WAS confident about and never had the slightest issue with i fecking fail on.

Foot down on 2nd figure of 8, think i went too slow on the near end turn and the wind caught me Sad

WILL SMASH IT NEXT TIME

Ahhh shit and derision..

At least you know you can do the parts you were worried about, so next time will be fine.

What's the waiting list like?

Gutting Sad

It was kind of the same with mine. Before Mod 1 I was crap at the slow speed stuff and no problem with the high speed stuff.
On the test I flew through the slow speed stuff but barely scraped through the faster stuff.

How long is the waiting going to be?

Damn! Sad

Oh well mate, keep your chin up and try again. I'm sure you'll nail it next time....if you feel like you're about to put your foot down, just let the clutch out a bit to get a bit of speed up. (on the slow maneuvers you should be feathering the clutch so you've alway got the option of letting it out a bit to gain a little speed or pulling in to slow a tad.)

Good luck for next time.
