Hi there!

(First of all i'll have to apoligize for my poor english, hope you'll understand what i wrote)

I have a 2000 NSR that currently only has a bigger carb, and an arrow exhaust. I used to have a 190cc cylinder on it but after tuning my bike, the oil hose to the carb had managed to slip off and my bike was running on pure gas so i managed to destroy both cylinder and piston Crying or Very sad I have the original 125cc back on again and now i think its too slow and want to buy a new cylinder..

My first question is: Are there any 250cc cylinders to the NSR? Ive heard that there are, but I can't manage to find any. And when i fitted the 190cc i saw that there was more room in the engineblock than the 190cc required.

Second question: The bikes rpm tops out at 12000, but I know that this is far from the maximum u can get from a two-stroke(15000?) and i saw this once because i managed to trick the CDI with rapid trottle on/off in neutral and i got the rpm WAY past 13000, probably 14000-15000. Are there any CDI units that gives full rpm?

Thanks alot if u reply to this topic, cuz i really appreciate it Smile
And if anybody wonders what bike version I have its a norwegian type (don't know if that helps anything)

Hi

Although you might be able to rev the engine higher, it wont do you any good unless the whole engine is set up to produce any power there. Exhausts, ports, ignition timing, carb intake and all sorts of other items are designed to work in a particular rev range

Reed valve 2 stroke engines will not rev than high. Piston ported or disk valve ones will rev higher but tend to have far less low down power

All the best

Keith

Thanks for ur reply Keith! Smile

If not anybody knows if there are 250cc cylinders, can anybody tell me where to get a Malossi 185cc or 190 or whatever it is??

Is there a exhaust valve on this cylinder?

Does it need a special RC unit to control the valve?

Thanks
