My mate had his stag do in Derby this weekend, and I rode up for the saturday night as I couldn't be arsed to go to alton towers during the day. (I'm not really into rides, I find it all a bit of a bore)

As anyone in the south will probably have noticed, it chucked it down all saturday afternoon, which made riding 120 motorway miles extremely exciting! I actually had a whale of a time, even though the vis was appalling, it's taught me a lot about the bike's (and my) capabilities.

I then had a fantastic night out on the tiles, first in a great curry house in derby, then in a shockingly local pub, The Florence Nightengale - So bad it was good!

All this was followed by a perfect ride back today in the sun, great vis, heavy but fast moving traffic, and me in a good mood! The bike handles like a dream, happy to plod along at 75-80 comfortable, but plenty of poke to whip around offending caravaners and lorries!

I've been back home for about 20 mins, and I'm still grinning. Just tried to explain it to my flatmate who doesnt even have a push bike, but gave up, he'll never understand it!

Congratulations mate, sounds like your getting the best out of your bike and having a whale of a time. Exactly why I bought a bike really.

Six months ago me and a mate went to scotland and back (about 340 miles), I did it on a 125. Sounds like a nightmare but open roads and plenty of twistys (lots of fun on the RS!!). Nothing like it. Just cant wait to get out on some good adventures on the CBR!

Sounds good Very Happy Wish I was within striking distance of scotland, I need to investigate somewhere near london with some nice roads to whizz around on.
