Hello!
First of id like to say my bike did 55mph flat out, now its struggleing to touch 50, its a 02 plate bike, when it was on 12,000miles it had new rollers in the variator and a new belt, it's now at 16,000miles.
The bike when getting past 30mph gets quite loud, sounds like some thing is swishing inside the engine and it viberates alot (Its only just started doing this)
Could it be my clutch?
Also may i add some times at traffic lights it bogs out and doesn't seem to kick in (As soon as it gets past 10mph it picks up speed quite fast) where as before it would pick up speed straight from 0 quite fast.

Is it my clutch going?
If so would a racing clutch be any good for it?
Thanks for any help/advice

Sounds like your powerband is worn out. Go get one from halfords, I think you need a yellow one for your bike.

I've tried a yellow one in the past, they only fit the speedfight 1 properly and need filing to get on the speedfight 2.

They do a universal black now though, it's adjustable.

When you learn to spell explain then yes, I will Wink

The powerband is an elastic band that wraps around your carburettor jet to alter the power of the bike. When they wear they stretch and it alters the power output.

Note: Not to be confused with the exhaust based powerbands found on some other bikes.

I think your rollers are worn in your varriator
If you have lost top speed, it would prob's mean that your rollers have flat sports on them, it's a easy job, YouTube search it ...
