so i understand that a pillion must wear a helmet, but it will still have to meet some fancy EU standard right? is there such a helmet that is a 1 size fits all jobbie that could be adjusted dependent on the size of the persons head? just if i ever need to give any of my mates a lift to places ect i dont fancy carrying each helmet size around and turning into a mobile hein gericke, or at the same time just take a medium and turn out be too big or small?

If i was taking a mate pillion and he started complaining about the fit of the helmet i was lending him id tell him to stop being gay or GTFO my bike.

AFAIK the law requires a helmet that meets the standards, not one that fits properly.

You could buy a medium and then lots of balaclavas - make them wear as many as required to make it fit properly Razz

Dont tell me, lads used to call "Where's your bike!" when they saw her carrying her hat down the street, and she'd yell back, "Don't know what you mean, I AM the bike!"

It's not your problem, surely?

I get people begging to come on the R1, the only spare lids I have, is a small pink HJC, which belongs to Rox.
Then a Shark MX lid with goggle, and my Airoh Enduro Supermoto helmet MX lid with visor).

Wont let anyone wear Rox's lid, and the two MX lids are highly unpractical for a sports bike as they are neck breakers at anything over 100mph.

Tough titty I say. It's your bike, nobody elses.

Shocked
A teflon-mike post that is one sentence.
Can someone archive that for posterity please.

...hang on, I'm not dreaming am I? Confused

On topic if it's someone I take pillion regularly I'd insist on the correct size helmet. Mind you I did take my kids pillion and a more precious cargo I can't think of.

For the occasional pillion I'd be hoping they had a helmet of their own. However, when I replace my helmet I do keep the old helmet for a while just in case. Doesn't quite answer the size problem though.

I'd be a bit nervous about taking anyone on my bike without a reasonable level of kit and a decent sizing of helmet on.

Annoyingly I have an XS, tiny little pea of a head, so my spare helmet will not fit most people!

That is, if Tanya never existed and its an inside joke. Pics?

It's a single seater now anyway as Rox hates it.
But when it had rear pegs and a pillion seat, my mates wanted to come out on it.
Luckily most of them ride, so have lids, but the ones who dont, a lid for them is not my problem, so I just offer what I've got, if they dont want to wear them, then technically the answer is no anyway.

I dont have problems with feeling obliged to take people on my bike. Laughing
Im quite capable of telling somebody to gtfo.

I have the opposite problem, my head seems to be a similar size to Rocky Dennis' head. My xxl helmets rarely fit anyone else.

I asume she didn`t mind what size helmet she was given, the bigger the better no doubt .............so long as she got a ride
