Steer clear from MCE,

Search MCE insurance in the BCF search box,

You will soon see !

What's their story? That the underwriter won't deal with changes, or that MCE can't be arsed with it?

How about bypassing them and contacting the underwriter directly?

EDIT

further digging says because there is a fault claim (which is closed as non fault by the damn underwriter, alpha insurance)

currently on hold as to why mce have it is fault claim even tho I was HIT :/ no womder people avoid mce!

I had this problem with Bennetts when I wanted to change from a 125 too a 600cc. They said I couldn't have the 600cc for a year lol, then they said if I cancelled there would be a £50 fee. I only paid £58 for the insurance and had used it for 3 months, in the end they agreed to pay me back all of my money as it wasn' my fault they were useless. So I got 3 months insurance for free on my 125 lol... I ended up only paying £90 for the 600c through H&R insurance.
