I'm looking for a smoother ride and not interested in changing vehicles

It seems upgraded shocks may be a good idea gas ones or something similar

I'm also looking to change the whole front end to accommodate a disc brake system. Any other realistic modifications that you guys can think of to make it a.safer b. more comfortable to drive would be appreciated

Cheers dan

As your looking for disc brakes, new front end !

Aftermarket exhaust, better tyres if you have shit ones.

Upgraded shocks as already said.

If you don't fancy replacing the whole front end, change fork oil for something heavier...

Hi thanks for the advice although I'm not interested in changing the exhaust and wasn't aware there are off the shelf cans to fit them.

I know I would have to replace front end that's not a problem.

The thread was actually asking about rear shocks

Oh and I have continentals front and rear

Surely the best option would be a different bike. There are plenty of big comfortable bikes out there for not much money.
