Dont know what was wrong with me today, head was definatley not in the zone, couple of dodgy overtakes, carried to much speed in to a bend, felt totaly seperate to the bike, poor observations more than once, really felt i shouldn't be riding today, anybody else get this? If this had of been a social ride and not my work commute I would of turned round and put the bike away. ____________________ Previously Known As A5tra_G

At least you made it home safely

Everyone has off-days. At least you got home safely and you're being honest with yourself - you'll learn to be a better rider that way. |

I had that yesterday - Long day at work, stress building up and that can take your mind off of things (even though you know you should have your mind on the road). Can't be helped, just try and overcome it safely and get to your destination safely ____________________ CBT Passed - 22 / 10 / 11 >> Theory Passed - 16 / 02 / 2012 >> Mod 1 Passed - 07 / 03 / 2012 >> Mod 2 Passed - 18 / 05 / 2012. |

I had this on saturday, I was out on a ride on my YBR with a mate and I was going into corners too fast, wobbling on corners, clunky gear changes - just didn't feel settled. We stopped for a cuppa, I chilled out a bit and felt a lot better on the ride back.
The next day was my Mod 1 test (on the 500) , felt totally different, if a little nervous but nowhere near as bad as the day before. Passed Mod 1, felt even better on the ride back, probably one of the best rides I've had so far. ____________________ CBT √ Passed, Theory √ Passed, Mod 1 √ Passed, Mod 2 √ Passed

Get it now and then, on the bike, in the car, at work. Just sometimes I'm not in the mood and performance decreases accordingly.
I get it not often on the bike, but sometimes, if I'm cold, someone has annoyed me, hungry / thirsty etc
I usually pull over for a coffee / smoke and distract myself for 20 mins and get back on - if that doesn't work I go home! ____________________ Yamaha FZS600 (Now gone to heaven) > CBR600F4i (SOLD) > '99 YZF-R1 |

get it sometimes . good days and bad days every now and then
keep beating yourself up about it you can only get better
i noticed riders with only a few years experience who are situated
in more rural areas are better on corners at speed with lower observation skills
whereas city bound folk have better observation and awareness skills
am i talking bollocks ? im sure someone will tell me ____________________ throw it up the wall |

I would say you're not. As someone who probably falls into the former category. I dread riding into town and avoid it when ever possible. Open country roads ftw! |
