So i have a GoPro turning up in the next could of days. For those on here that have a camera, where is the best place to mount one on a helmet?

On a side note i ordered one from amazon which arrived yesterday and the box was cut open with no camera inside Sad Just a warning for everyone...

On a full face I think central on top is a good place to stick a curved mount pad.

The videos from a helmet mount look like shit, just mount it on the front of the screen... like this:

I go top of helmet central and also side of helmet, good to get different angles. Give it a good clean and dry first, they work really well then.

Heres a couple of films from the above placements.

...and heres the central helmet mount. You need to set the angle well, not to be to up or to down.

But a helmet is probably the best place to mount the camera to reduce vibration caused by potholes and ruts in the road

I dont really want it on the front of the bike. I like the idea of it recording where i look.

Stupid thread really. I just realised i have a flip face helmet, so having it on the top or the chin of the helmet wouldnt work really, so having it on the side is the only real option Laughing
