Quick easy question for gurus Very Happy my air mixture screw on my phbh 28 mm carb for rs125 is turned out approx 5 turns ( way to much) do I require a bigger pilot jet mines 62 if I remember rightly? Or do I have a problem with carb ( been cleaned ) just to add if I screw in the mixture screw 3 turns out onwards it bogs and dies lol I'm hoping I'm right with pilot needs to be bigger Cool

62 is stock iirc. Your screw needs to be dialled all the way in, then i'd suggest 1 1/4 back out. That will be ok as a starting point.

You running a stock main jet & airbox too ?

Are you saying that the bike only does not idle properly, but otherwise runs cleanly through higher rev ranges ok.
If the bike only has a problem with idling and has only started acting up recently its not going to need a bigger pilot jet. It looks like you have a partially blocked pilot jet or associated airway.
If this is a old ongoing idling problem , and the carb has been cleaned ,probably best to look for airleaks around the inlet stub or check the float level.

Iv got aftermarket air filter and 126 main but it's the same with standard air box and 120 main strange lol the bikes always done it i just don't think it's right never heard of it being so far out the float level is as should be and carbs clean no blockages check for air leaks absolutely none it wouldn't bother me but I know it's not right it bogs and dies anywhere from 3 turns out turning inwards quarter turns I'm stumped I'm sure months ago someone mentioned a larger pilot but I could of dreamed that up haaaaa Surprised

Mine didn't either.

How derestricted is it? What spark plug are you running, what compression does it have, when was it rebuilt last?

5 turns out on a carb is a lot... why have you swapped the stock filter for an aftermarket one..
