Just got back from a ride and can't believe how some stupid fool in a car thought it would be fun to try and scare me. Okay i am a learner and a female at that but to ride so close to me and then overtake me with a mad smile on his face certainly got my nerves up. He really does need a good arse kicking!!!!. Mad

Did you get the car's registration? Helmet cameras seem to help keep the knob heads at bay - even if it's a fake one Smile

It's just a normal several times per day occurance for bikers, you'll soon get used to it or better still find a safe way to get even Laughing

Twats.

Regarding the camera, oddly I do notice people double taking now i've got my go pro case mounted onto my bike, it looks like a camera is there when it isn't Cool

You should have honked wildly and wobbled side to side to freak them out, then let them crash into you from behind whilst dangerously over taking

then raped their insurance

Woohoo!

Yep, I'm finding its something we are just going to have to get used to. Some drivers are just downright stupid and dangerous.

This morning on the way to my Mod2 it was rush hour and the traffic was trailing back for miles so I had to do my first ever bit of filtering (or risk being late) I filtered outside the long queue of cars only to notice one woman in a BMW who saw me and then blatantly moved over to the right so I couldn't get past? Was blatant....I just laughed at her and shook my head.

She wasn't the only one too, another guy did it but not as blatant, just edged over rather than barged over. Idiots.

You can't blame BMW drivers too much, being assholes is their natural state.

Did my first filtering the other day, no L's on though.. such a good feeling to just push on forward - "I'm making progress biatches!" Very Happy

On the way to my Mod 2 today I had a BMW nearly pull out on me, would have cut my day a bit short! Luckily I noticed he hadn't even looked right so I moved over well in advance for the inevitable pull out... he pulled out, but also looked at the same, so stopped half way out - good job I had moved over Rolling Eyes

This is how I long for the day when I have a bigger bike so that after puting the boot into there door pannels I can accelerate in a fast enough manner that my registration plate is just a blur by the time they relise they have a grands worth of damage for being an asshole Very Happy

It takes a perverse sadistic type to try and scare and unsettle a learner rider, as they are likely to panic and crash. I guess they know if they that to an experienced rider they have a chance to be minus a mirror.

Go to the driver's window and tap on it. Never fails to shit up a driver. Be polite and make your case. If that fails then scratch as you're talking.Wink

A 'no damage' but very annoying thing to do to a car driver that's been an arse to you is to wait till they are stopped in traffic and open their nearside rear door then ride off Smile

Obviously only works on 4/5 door cars.

I think the Avatar thing is a factor of a relatively new member having newbie karma tbf.

Also, the Beemer drivers I find to be the biggest absolute twats are always males in suits.

Followed closely by Bright young ladies in their bright new hatchbacks, waving their shiny new licences.

After that, I think it's old people in medium sized japanese white cars.

Perhaps I worded it badly - what I meant was that I have found it to be the male beemer drivers who are the biggest twats on the road, the female ones I find to be much the same as any other driver on the road Thumbs Up

I like this idea, although it won't work on a lot of cars built within the last 10 years, because generally only the driver's door unlocks (unless you double click the unlock button) - anti-hijack & anti-bag snatching (...and anti-angry motorcyclist exacting revenge)
