They're definately cute...but my main concern (besides performance) is where do you get them from? Rolling Eyes

you want a cbr 250 come to ireland!
there are thousands of the things here, one of the most popular bikes on the road. as far as performance is concerned they are not much different from an nsr125, my mate has an fzr250 which is slightly quicker and it obly gets away from my rs on initial take off, but it doesnt pulla away after that
technically the mc19(pre 1992) is a little less powerful about 35bhp ish
the newer mc22 has about 39bhp. it does 60 in roughly 5.6 and tops out at about 108, if youre lucky!
as is said if u have an nsr dont bother, but it is a perfect first bike that sounds really cool and is really reliable

It's a 4 stroker, which I think sounds nicer and less irritating at low revs...

Hi

CBR250 = 19500rpm red line. Could be fun, just to rev an engine that high

All the best

CBR 250? for the way i ride it would be crap. Who wants to be revving to 19,000rpm through the gears, and needing 10,000 just to pull away before a Nova at the traffic lights. They attract too much attention as well, especially with a race can on. I mean if your just going steady round town but with your motor doing 12,000 revs then people are gonna notice you, and so are the cops. If anyone wants a fourstroke 250 then i say buy a twin, as they are still very revvy, but not nearly so manic as a four. Id prefer a ZZR250 as it would be just as fast, but a bit more bearable to ride. Thing i like about two strokes is that even though the power is only made at the top of the rev range, they dont need to rev that high, compared witha 4s multi. I mean most stroker power bands are finished by 10-12k rpm max, where a 250 or even 400cc 4s 4cyl bike is only just getting started.

its group 5 with hibernian, well below nsr rs insurance, but they are ridiculously dear from a dealer( i looked at them before i got rs)
they sound the bollox, a mate of mine has an fzr250 redlines at 18500 revs out at 20000, powerband from 12000 on, they really sound great next to my rattly stroker! and they are a decent bit quicker off the mark
